Javier Martin-Broto MD, PhD, is a Sarcoma Medical Oncologist at the Fundación Jimenez Diaz University Hospital, Madrid, Spain. He obtained his MD from the School of Medicine of Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain, and PhD in Molecular Biology on molecular prognostic biomarkers in gastrointestinal stromal tumors. Founding the Spanish Group for Research on Sarcomas, he is also an active member of multiple international cancer societies, including ASCO, ESMO, CTOS, and EUROCAN.

Dr Martin-Broto integrates clinical care with translational research, leading multi-omics analysis of chemotherapy samples and developing patient-derived models. He directs research teams in Madrid and Seville, runs national and international clinical trials, and leads the SELNET consortium – linking Latin American and European institutions through a Horizon 2020 grant.
