Speaking on TCR-engineered T-cell therapies

Prof. Wermke’s research interests include developing innovative immunotherapies, particularly TCR-engineered T cells for solid tumors and CAR-T technologies for hematological malignancies. Identifying disease biomarker targets to create novel therapies for patients is at the core of Prof. Wermke’s research. He has spearheading multiple studies across cancer types such as the recent Phase III study IMA203, which found the PRAME targeting autologous TCR-T cell therapy to be durable and well received by patients with PD-1 refractory metastatic melanoma.
