Academic History
Michael Morris, MD, is the Prostate Cancer Section Head and the Steven A. Greenberg Chair in Prostate Cancer Research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY. Dr Morris completed his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and his residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, both in New York, NY. He then completed his fellowship in Oncology/Hematology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr Morris is the Committee Chair of the Scientific Oversight Committee of the Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium and the Co-Chair of the Genitourinary Committee of the National Cancer Institute’s Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology. He is also a member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Radioligand Therapy Integration in Oncology Task Force.
Speaking on novel therapeutics and radioligands in prostate cancer
Dr Morris’ research interest is in the development of novel therapeutics for prostate cancer, particularly in radioligand and targeted therapies. He has led multiple clinical trials and been a part of leadership teams for registration trials for PSMA-targeted radioligands. Dr Morris additionally has an interest in novel prostate-specific imaging techniques, and has been involved in the development of PSMA PET imaging.
