Michail Ignatiadis, MD, PhD, is the Director of the Breast Medical Oncology Clinic at the Jules Bordet Institute, Brussels, Belgium, and Chair of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Breast Cancer Group. He earned his medical degree at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and subsequently completed his PhD at the University of Crete, Greece, focusing on oncology research. Dr Ignatiadis also leads the Academic Trials Promoting Team at the Jules Bordet Institute, advancing innovative research across various tumor types and disciplines.

Dr Ignatiadis has a particular interest in drug and biomarker development for breast cancer, contributing to notable studies such as the TREAT ctDNA and ALEXANDRA/IMpassion030 trials. His work in the field of blood-based biomarkers, especially liquid biopsies, is globally acknowledged.
