Nicolas Girard, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Head of the Thorax Institute at the Institut Curie, Paris, France, and a Professor at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, Lyon, France. He is also Chair of Medical Oncology at Institut Curie, and is associated with several global cancer societies. He obtained his medical degree and PhD from the University of Tours, Tours, France, and Claude Bernard University Lyon 1. Prof. Girard’s research interests revolve around thoracic cancer, with his recent work investigating lazertinib versus osimertinib in patients with treatment-naive EGFR-mutant advanced NSCLC in the MARIPOSA study, and the ways in which cancer-associated fibroblasts promote T-cell exclusion in lung cancer.
