Speaking on early breast cancer care
Prof. Kaidar-Person’s research focuses on improving outcomes for breast cancer patients undergoing mastectomy and implant-based reconstruction. Her PhD investigates residual breast tissue post-mastectomy and its link to cancer recurrence. This has led to a collaborative artificial intelligence (AI)-driven project with Dr Anaby and Prof. Sklair-Levy at Sheba Medical Center, developing Breast MRI-based models to identify high-risk areas for recurrence and personalize treatment strategies. She is actively involved in clinical trials, including the CINDERELLA trial, exploring innovative approaches in breast cancer treatment. She also utilizes Israel’s largest breast cancer imaging database to refine risk assessment models and optimize post-mastectomy care.
