Academic History

Paolo Ascierto, MD, is the Director of the Unit of Melanoma, Cancer Immunotherapy, and Innovative Therapy at the National Tumor Institute Fondazione G. Pascale, Naples, Italy. He earned his medical degree and board certification in oncology from the University of Naples. He previously served as a postdoctoral fellow and vice-director of the Department of Clinical Immunology at the same institute. Prof. Ascierto is also a prominent editor, working across several editorial boards and as Editor-in-Chief of the Combination Strategies section for the Journal of Translational Medicine. He has spoken at over 350 conferences and is active in multiple national and international medical societies.
