Wolfgang Janni, MD, PhD, is Medical Director in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital Ulm in Ulm, Germany. Completing his MD and PhD at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich, Munich, Germany, he is a certified senior breast surgeon has served as board member and committee member at numerous oncologic societies, including the German Cancer Society, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and Gynecologic Oncology Working Group.

Speaking on treatment of gynecological and breast cancers

Prof. Janni is a leading researcher and physician in gynecological malignancies and breast cancer surgery, with a focus on refining treatment regimes and patient prognosis. He has greatly contributed to refining breast cancer guidelines for the German Cancer Society, and worked with the German Consortium for Familial Breast and Ovarian Cancer to enhance genetic testing. Additional topics of research covered include circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in metastatic breast cancer and integrating innovative treatments into clinical practice.
