Giuseppe Viale, MD, FRCPath, University of Milan, Milan, Italy, highlights key findings from the Phase II DESTINY-Breast12 trial (NCT04739761). The trial confirmed the efficacy of trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) in patients with brain metastases from HER2-positive, hormone receptor-positive (HR+/HER2+) breast cancer. This trial thus solidified its role as an effective treatment option for these patients.
