GU Cancers 2023 | Challenges facing new pathway inhibitor treatments in prostate cancer

Kamal Sahu, MBBS, Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, reports on the status of pathway inhibitor treatments for patients with prostate cancer and the key challenges facing their use. Dr Sahu points out that a lot of data is still to be analysed but the main issue is the side effect profile of this treatment as it utilises an unconventional mode of action. Blood transfusion and close monitoring are deemed very important to deal with this issue and progress the field of research. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2023 in San Francisco, CA.
