Sergio Marchini, PhD, Humanitas Research Hospital, Milan, Italy, comments on the potential role of Pap testing to diagnose ovarian cancer. Recently published research has suggested the presence of tumor DNA in smears were present up to 8 years before diagnosis, indicating a promising role of Pap testing in early diagnosis. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2024 in San Diego, CA.
