Immunotherapy has huge potential for treating a wide variety of cancer types. Specifically, Prof. Johnson discusses the complexity of immune responses to cancer, and his ex vivo research that examines tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes from patients undergoing immunotherapy treatments in order to comprehend this complexity. He also discusses the direction he believes this research will take in the future, highlighting the role of combining immunotherapy approaches either sequentially or simultaneously to tailor responses to treatment.
