Junqiang Yin, MD, PhD, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, discusses key unmet needs in the field of sarcoma. More novel techniques are required for the detection of sarcoma. To address the lack of biomarkers, techniques such as tumor-informed minimal residual disease (MRD) can be implemented. There are over 100 types of sarcoma and clinical trials may find novel strategies for patient care. Patient wellbeing and psychological health also need to be considered. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Annual Congress in Chicago, IL.
