ASCO GI 2020 | Gallbladder & bile duct cancer at ASCO GI: GAIN and other highlights

Thorsten Goetze, MD, University Cancer Center Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany, describes the ongoing, multicenter, randomized Phase III GAIN trial (NCT03673072), which is aiming to evaluate the effect of perioperative treatment in gallbladder carcinoma and biliary tract cancers. He also provides an overview of current biliary tract cancer management and some of the exciting data presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium 2021, including final results from the Phase III ClarIDHy trial (NCT02989857) and the phase II study of infigratinib (NCT02150967) in advanced cholangiocarcinoma.
