Hui Jing Hoe, MBBS, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, explores how sex disparities in survival outcomes with ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) could inform treatment strategies in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Findings from the individual pooled data analysis of six global randomized clinical trials are not sufficient to recommend treatment intensification for male patients but do give an indication of the biological differences between sexes. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
