ASCO 2021 | Differences in genomic landscape between African Americans and Caucasians with prostate cancer

Pedro Barata, MD, MSc, Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA, talks on the differences in the tumor genomic landscape between African American and Caucasian advanced prostate cancer patients by comprehensive genomic profiling of cell-free DNA. The results of this investigation suggest significant differences in the tumor genomic profile between African American and Caucasian patients with advanced prostate cancer and that the identification of such molecular drivers may allow for a more tailored, systemic therapy. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2021 Virtual Meeting.
