Gabriele Roccuzzo, MD, University of Turin, Turin, Italy, reviews a retrospective study, that explored the impact of complete lymph node dissection (CLND) following positive sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy versus adjuvant therapy on the overall survival (OS) and relapse-free survival (RFS) rates in a real-world setting. The study confirmed that adjuvant therapy played a significant role in reducing the risk of relapse by increasing OS and RFS rates in patients with SLN biopsy-confirmed melanoma. This interview took place at The European Congress on Dermato-Oncology 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
