Sandra Dyer, Transforming Cancer Services Team, London, UK, discusses the importance of enhancing primary care to support cancer survivors. With more patients surviving cancer treatment, existing comorbidities must be taken into account, especially in a growing elderly population. A more integrated, holistic approach is needed to meet potential unmet needs such as diabetes and asthma. Multidisciplinary teams, especially in the primary care setting, will be necessary to provide optimal care for these groups of patients. This interview took place at the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) Annual Conference 2023 in Newport, UK.
