GU Cancers 2023 | Chemotherapy for early metastatic seminoma

Lucia Nappi, MD, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, discusses the role of chemotherapy in early-stage metastatic seminoma. There is an approximate 98% cure-rate amongst this patient population with standard chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The controversy surrounding treatment is associated with long-term toxicities and whether this can be avoided. Dr Nappi highlights the role miR371 to guide treatment selection following orchiectomy. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2023 in San Francisco, CA.
