GU Cancers 2023 | Chemotherapy for early metastatic seminoma

Lucia Nappi, MD, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, discusses the role of chemotherapy in early-stage metastatic seminoma. There is an approximate 98% cure-rate amongst this patient population with standard chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The controversy surrounding treatment is associated with long-term toxicities and whether this can be avoided. Dr Nappi highlights the role miR371 to guide treatment selection following orchiectomy.
