Marta Vaz Batista, MD, Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando Fonseca, Amadora, Portugal, discusses the current standard of care for patients with breast cancer who develop brain metastases, which is a growing problem, especially in patients with triple negative or HER2-positive disease. Dr Vaz Batista also discusses how current research is building on research done on brain metastases in lung cancer, and what future research directions may be.
