ESMO Breast 2020 | The use of AI and augmented reality in breast cancer surgery

Pedro Gouveia, MD, of the Champalimaud Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal, discusses the use of AI and augmented reality in the breast cancer surgical setting. AI can be integrated with augmented reality to produce patient-specific 3D breast models which represent a non-invasive digital tool that can replace standard invasive preoperative localization techniques traditionally used in breast cancer surgeries. This interview was recorded via an online conference call with The Video Journal of Oncology (VJOncology).
