IASLC TTLC 2022 | Treating BRAF V600E-mutant NSCLC with dabrafenib and trametinib

Bruce Johnson, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, discusses follow-up data from a Phase II trial (NCT01336634) assessing dabrafenib plus trametinib in patients with BRAF V600E-mutant metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). After a 5 year follow-up, the median overall survival (OS) was the 19% and 22% in the pre-treated and treatment-naïve cohorts respectively and the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 10 months for both cohorts. Further analysis demonstrated inferior survival rates in patients with mutations other than V600E including MTOR, KRAS and other BRAF mutations.
