Michael Hubank, PhD, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses the in-house liquid biopsy testing facility that is currently being developed at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. The Royal Marsden has partnered with Guardant Health for this project, with the aim of delivering comprehensive in-house testing to improve both clinical diagnostics for patients and the development of clinical trials. Prof. Hubank expects the facility to be operational within 6-9 months and hopes that successful operation of the facility will provide a strong argument for expanding liquid biopsy testing across the NHS.
