ECCO 2017 | The Survivorship Passport initiative

Carina Schneider from the Austrian Childhood Cancer Organisation discusses the Survivorship Passport initiative at the European Cancer Congress of the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Survivorship Passport has been developed across Europe, from the collaboration of doctors, psychosocial experts, and survivors. It is available electronically, as well as a printable document, and contains a summary of their cancer, their treatment, and follow up guidelines. This has the advantage of survivors understanding important aspects of their condition as well as their treatment. They are also able to show it their GP, to improve the advice that they are given.
