Manfred K. Welslau, MD, Klinikum Aschaffenburg-Alzenau, Aschaffenburg, Germany, discusses the need for educational programs such as the MASCC oral agent teaching tool (MOATT). Patients who self-administer cancer medications orally and receive coaching tools will have fewer treatment-related symptoms and possibly have improved survival outcomes.
