SABCS 2024 | The role of molecular tumor boards in breast cancer care

Jenna Canzoniero, MD, Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, Baltimore, MD, explores the critical role of molecular tumor boards (MTB) in guiding oncologists through complex molecular diagnostics in breast cancer treatment. Medical oncologists, molecular pathologists, researchers, and patient advocates are all involved in developing personalized treatment strategies. MTBs interpret advanced genetic reports, integrating insights from multi-gene panels, and whole exome sequencing results. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
