ECCO 2017 | Current trials in the treatment of melanoma

Paolo Ascierto, MD, of the National Tumor Institute Fondazione G. Pascale, Naples, Italy, discusses current trials investigating novel treatments for melanoma patients at the European Cancer Congress of the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The results of various promising trials will be released this year, investigating the combination of ipilimumab with nivolumab, targeted therapy with immunotherapy, and vemurafenib. The results of other trials will hopefully provide more data about patients with brain metastases, and how best to treat them.
