ESMO 2022 | Sexual dysfunction in breast cancer survivors

Maria Alice Franzoi, MD, Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France, discusses the importance of discussions between physicians and patients with breast cancer on sexual health. ~50% of patients with breast cancer don’t receive any information on sexual health after diagnosis and there is confusion over whether the physician or patient should bring it up. Dr Franzoi emphasises the importance of communication and the necessity of multidisciplinary team, as well as the potential benefits of digital health tools. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2022 Congress in Paris, France.
