ASCO 2024 | Development of RSClin N+, a quantitative tool for assessing breast cancer risk

Lajos Pusztai, MD, DPhil, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, discusses the incorporation of known risk factors leading to cancer into statistically appropriate multivariate models. A new model RSClin N+ has been developed for detecting the pathogenicity of genetic variants in cancer susceptibility genes in lymph node positive patients. This new technology inspired from RSClin, which only focuses on estrogen receptor-positive (ER+), human epidermal growth factor receptor-positive (HER+), and lymph node-negative, underscores a significant step towards more personalised treatment strategies in breast cancer. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
