The recruitment of a representative trial population is of great importance and due to the number and complexity of clinical trials, trial access has become increasingly challenging. In this interview, Pashtoon M. Kasi, MD, MS, University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, discusses the development of a novel clinical trial search tool using artificial intelligence (AI) for the recruitment of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies into relevant clinical trials.
