The unique side effects that accompany the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors for the treatment of cancer need to be closely monitored to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Here, Christopher Campen, PharmD, BCOP, from the GHS Cancer Institute, Greenville, SC, explains how new collaborative guidelines from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) have been developed to help healthcare providers assess and manage these side effects.
