ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers | Current and future treatment strategies for medulloblastoma

Enrico Franceschi, MD, Ospedale Bellaria Carlo Alberto Pizzardi, Bologna, Italy, discusses management options for medulloblastoma, a very rare form of brain cancer. Treatment is dependent on the stage of cancer, but surgery is typically administered, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy in patients with intermediate to high risk tumors. Novel therapies targeting the hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway are additionally under development. This interview took place at the ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers Congress 2023 in Lugano, Switzerland.
