Peter Baker, Global Action on Men’s Health, London, UK, comments on gender-neutral vaccinations for human papillomavirus (HPV). In reinforcement of the ‘Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan’ in 2024, the European Union (EU) council recommends all young people should be offered the HPV vaccine, targeting 90% vaccination in females and a significant increase in males. These recommendations are a huge step forward for vaccine-preventable cancers and other conditions, although more work is still required to reach these goals. This interview took place at the 2025 European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress in Madrid, Spain.
