UKONS 2023 | Addressing inequalities in breast prostheses post-mastectomy

Sarah Adomah, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, gives an overview of a pilot project instituted by the Royal Marsden Hospital to reduce inequalities in breast cancer care. For women who have undergone a mastectomy, there were only two available colors for breast prostheses, disadvantaging patients of color. The project will provide four choices of breast prostheses, enabling equity in this area of treatment. This interview took place at the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) Annual Conference 2023 in Newport, UK.
