Pippa Labuc, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia, gives an overview of non-pharmaceutical interventions for patients with lung cancer. Fatigue, which many patients will experience, can be managed with physical activity and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Exercise has shown to improve muscle growth and prevent cachexia. Psychologists and occupational therapists are also recommended when patients have cognitive changes, sleep deficits and depression. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
