EAU 2025 | RAISN: indocyanine green-guided lymph node dissection in testicular cancer

Yue Che, MD, University Hospital of Duesseldorf, Düsseldorf, Germany, discusses the evolving role of retroperitoneal lymph node dissection and therapy de-escalation in testicular cancer. The RAISN study (NCT06133543) investigates the feasibility of indocyanine green (ICG)-guided sentinel lymph node biopsy to reduce the need for adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with stage I testicular cancer. Interim results suggest the procedure is technically feasible and well tolerated, with no complications or relapses reported so far. Further research is needed to assess long-term efficacy and sensitivity. This interview took place at the 2025 European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress in Madrid, Spain.
