Deepa Magge, MD, FACS, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, Nashville, TN, provides an overview of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), a procedure designed to treat a range of cancers. Patients initially undergo surgery and heated chemotherapy drugs are directly applied to remove any remaining tumors. This interview took place virtually at the 2022 Great Debates & Updates in Gastrointestinal Malignancies Congress.
