GU Cancers 2024 | Current and emerging applications for ctDNA analysis in prostate cancer

Dalia Kaakour, MD, MS, MPH, University of California, Irvine, CA, discusses the potential role of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis in prostate cancer. Whilst ctDNA is not currently widely utilized in clinical practice, it may prove beneficial in certain cases, such as in patients with biochemical or radiographic progression. Additional research is needed to compare the efficacy of ctDNA analysis with PSA levels in the clinic. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2024 in San Francisco, CA.
