CTOS 2023 | Early local progression in osteosarcoma results in worse outcomes

Odion Binitie, MD, Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, discusses findings from an analysis of two sarcoma trials. Patients who had early local progression in newly-diagnosed high-grade osteosarcoma did not have a good histological response, resulting in worse outcomes when receiving induction chemotherapy. Compared to patients who had poor responses, the aforementioned group of patients additionally fared worse. This interview took place at the 2023 Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) Annual Meeting in Dublin, Ireland.
