ESMO 2017 | Breast cancer patients with germline BRCA mutations: can we preserve fertility?

Cancer treatment has been associated with a risk of treatment-associated premature ovarian failure in pre-menopausal breast cancer patients. Matteo Lambertini, MD from Institut Jules Bordet, Brussels, Belgium explains the risk factors involved and the ways in which physicians can counsel their patients on these factors. Dr Lambertini also discusses the feasibility of fertility preservation in patients with a germline BRCA mutation.
