Georgina Long, PhD, MBBS, FRACP, FAHMS, University of Sydney, North Sydney, Australia, comments on the challenges of implementing neoadjuvant therapy, specifically the need for accurate pathological response assessment. Prof. Long highlights a study that has reduced the time and complexity of pathological assessment by 50-70%, making it more feasible for community pathologists to adopt, which he believes will overcome a major barrier to neoadjuvant therapy. This interview took place at the 11th World Congress of Melanoma and 21st EADO Congress in Athens, Greece.
