Flavia Jacobs, MD, Humanitas Research Hospital, Milan, Italy, discusses the development and validation of a machine learning-based tool to predict distant recurrence in HR+/HER2- early breast cancer. This tool combines clinical-pathological characteristics with genomic data to accurately assess chemotherapy benefits. Despite regulatory challenges in Europe, the tool aims to provide accessible, precise treatment guidance. This interview took place at the 2024 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Breast Cancer Annual Congress in Berlin, Germany.
