ECCO 2017 | Status of molecular imaging for prostate cancer

Stefano Fanti, MD of University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy talks about the status of molecular imaging for prostate cancer. According to Dr Fanti, there has not been much research into imaging procedures for prostate cancer. However, multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and functional MRI are now available as well as new radiopharmaceuticals that can help us see prostate cancer and its recurrence at an early stage, which can help guide treatment.
