In this latest episode of the VJOncoAlert Journal Club, Isotta Martha Magaton, MD, IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino, Genoa, Italy, comments on the safety of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) in young BRCA1 and 2 carriers with a pregnancy after breast cancer. Dr Megaton highlights that her study, which included 543 young BRCA1 and 2 carriers, found that the use of ART did not appear to be associated with an increased risk of disease-free survival events or adverse pregnancy outcomes, and that ART was not linked to an increased risk of miscarriage or induced abortion.
