WCLC 2024 | Genetic differences between lung cancer in never-smokers and smokers
Sitapriya Moorthi, PhD, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle, WA, comments on the significance of evaluating the differences in the genetic landscape of women with lung cancer who smoke and have never smoked. Reporting on genetic variations based on smoking history has clinical importance, and if someone has no EGFR mutations, other genes can be evaluated. A larger cohort will be required to fully elucidate the drivers behind the different mutations present in patients. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
