GU Cancers 2025 | The future of MDT in oligometastatic prostate cancer

Alexander Sherry, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, comments on the role of metastasis-directed therapy (MDT) in oligometastatic prostate cancer, highlighting the need for further investigation before establishing MDT as the standard of care. While promising results have been shown in various trials, including RADIOSA (NCT03940235) and ARTO (NCT03449719), the optimal approach, including combination with ADT or other agents, remains an area of active study. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
