BCC 2023 | Oncoplastic breast conservation vs nipple sparing mastectomy & immediate breast reconstruction

Eirini Angelidou, MD, PhD, IASO Hospital and Athens Medical Center, Athens, Greece, discusses the results of a prospective study which evaluated whether breast cancer patients who underwent oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery are more satisfied and have better quality of life than matched nipple-sparing mastectomy patients with immediate breast reconstruction with prepectoral permanent implants. This interview took place at the St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Consensus Meeting in Vienna, Austria.
