SABCS 2020 | The importance of patient reported outcomes in breast cancer

Oluwadamilola Fayanju, MD, MA, MPHS, FACS, Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC, discusses her presentation on capturing patient-reported outcomes from the Clinical Research Workshop of San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) 2020. Outcomes ranging from the overall quality of life to specifics such as discomfort in a particular body part following intervention allow us to gain a deeper understanding of the patient experience. New approaches to how outcomes reported from a patient’s perspective can be used in clinical practice and research will be discussed at SABCS 2020. This interview was recorded via an online conference call with The Video Journal of Oncology (VJOncology).
