Paolo Manca, MD, Fondazione IRCCS Instituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan, Italy, comments on the feasibility of incorporating molecular profiling into routine decision-making for maintenance strategies in HER2-negative gastric and gastroesophageal junction (G/GEJ) cancers. Profiling of primary tumors is already established in the United States, making molecular profiling more feasible. In Europe, profiling is not routine, however this may become likely in the future as costs of sequencing technology decrease. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
