GU Cancers 2022 | Unmet clinical needs in bladder cancer care in the UK

Prantik Das, MBBS, MRCP, FRCR, PG Dip, UHDB NHS Foundation Trust, Derby, UK and University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, discusses two main challenges of bladder cancer care in the UK. Firstly, the pandemic has led to later diagnoses for many patients, which means poorer outcomes due to more advanced disease. Secondly, there is a great unmet need for novel biomarkers, in order to advance in the field of personalised medicine for bladder cancer. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Genitourinary Cancers Symposium 2022 in San Francisco, CA.
